Horizon Lab — a Ukrainian project about space and astronomy

Every day the world produces dozens of press releases, scientific papers and space news stories. Horizon Lab picks the most important ones and helps you quickly understand what happened, why it is interesting and how we know.

We write about space missions, astronomical discoveries and skywatching — without sensationalism for its own sake and always with a link to the primary source.

Horizon Lab stories are built on open primary sources. Links to them are right in the publications.

Scientific research

How we prepare stories

Primary source → verification → editorial work → publication. AI tools help with the draft but are not a source of facts.

  1. Selection. We do not try to retell everything that happens in space. Every day the editorial team reviews scientific sources and picks the topics that genuinely deserve attention.

  2. Checking the primary source. Before publishing we verify the key facts, figures, dates, mission names and the link to the original source.

  3. Editorial preparation. AI tools may be used to work on the draft, structure and language of a text. They are not a source of facts: the editor checks the final version against the primary source.

Horizon Lab is run by Oleksandr Kozachenko.

The editorial goal is to make complex science news understandable without distorting its meaning, and to let readers go straight to the primary source and check for themselves.
